Children and young people are not ‘set apart’. Whether you are a parent, a pastor, a youth leader or a children’s counsellor, the ministry of accompanying children and young people contributes to the spiritual and numerical growth of the whole Church..

The children of "La Chapelle"

Jesus said, “Let the little children, do not hinder them from coming to me, for the kingdom of heaven is for those who are like them.”

Matthew 19:14 S21

We are responding to Jesus call by offering 4 children’s groups.

All our monitors and assistant monitors sign the FEEBF Monitor’s Charter.

Awakening to the faith

We welcome children from 3 months to 3 years old during preaching time for moments of relaxation and play. relaxation and games. Through songs, stories and crafts, the children also benefit from through songs, stories and crafts, children also benefit from adapted teaching that allows them to experience an initiation an introduction to faith in Jesus Christ.

Sunday Club

Your child is aged 3 to 10: he/she can join the Sunday Club (known as CDD) during worship, outside the school holidays. The monitors involved in this service will be delighted to welcome them. As they go through the Bible stories, we want them to discover or deepen their knowledge of God's attributes and learn to live out the reality of their faith in everyday life. Because the Gospel is also for children! Jesus said: ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them [...]’ (Mark 10 verse 14). But we don't forget the times of sharing, testimonies, songs and even games, sometimes accompanied by a little snack (which, I promise, will not replace lunch). They are also given the opportunity to express their talents to honour our God and talk about him in a different way, to adults and other children, during special services or celebrations.

Pre-teens (11-13 years)

On Sunday mornings, outside the school holidays, pre-teens have the opportunity to talk, share and reflect on the Bible. They discover or deepen their knowledge and experience of faith in Jesus Christ, who ‘is the way, the truth and the life’ (John 14:6). Activities, outings and shared meals punctuate the meetings and give them the opportunity to get to know each other better and create bonds of friendship.

Teenagers

The teenage group meets every 15 days on Sunday mornings, during worship. This is a time mainly devoted to reading and investigating a biblical text. The Bible contains some stories that may seem incredible to us. So it makes sense, especially for teenagers, to ask questions about these biblical stories. And what about the greatest folly of Christians? To believe that God loved us so much, individually, you and me, that he came to give his life on the cross so that we could be freed from sin and live fully reconciled with God the Father. The Teen Group is a place where everyone can express their convictions and doubts. It's a privileged moment where debate is encouraged so that everyone can progress towards a personal faith.

The young people of "La Chapelle"

The youth group meets once a month on a Saturday evening. It’s a time for socialising and sharing over a meal. The young people themselves describe it as ‘dynamic’, ‘fraternal’, ‘welcoming’ and ‘connected’.

These times of welcome and mutual support are open to young people from the church and their friends.

This meeting usually takes place in 3 stages:

  1. Apéro Biblique: a time for reflection (with the same focus as the Teen Group) on a biblical passage or theme.
  2. Meal (much too copious!)
  3. Board games.

Thanks to these meetings, the young people create solid bonds between themselves, and develop and strengthen their faith. As a result, they are better equipped to meet the challenges they face.

Every two years, our young people are encouraged to take part in the Connexion weekend organised by the “Children and Youth Committee“.
