Children and young people are fully part of our church family. Whether you are a parent, a pastor, a youth leader or a children’s counsellor, the ministry of accompanying children and young people contributes to the spiritual and numerical growth of the whole Church..

The children at "La Chapelle"
Jesus said “ Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingodom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:14 NIV
We are responding to Jesus’s call by offering 4 groups for the children and youth.
All our children and youth workers consent to the FEEBF’s (French Evangelical Baptist Federation) children’s and youth workers’ safeguarding charter.
First steps in the faith
We are glad to welcome three-month to three-year olds during the sermons for some rest and playtime. Through songs, stories and crafts, the children also benefit from adapted biblical teaching to introduce them to faith in Jesus-Christ.
Sunday Club/ Junior church
If you have any three to ten-year olds, our children’s workers will be delighted to welcome them to join the Sunday club (known as the CDD) during term time services. As they go through the Bible stories, our wish is for them to discover and get to know God’s qualities more deeply and on a personal level to then live out the reality of their faith in everyday life. This gospel truth is also for children of course ! Because the Gospel is also for children ! Jesus said: ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them [...]’ (Mark 10 verse 14). Let’s not forget other activities, sharing testimonies, singing, playing games, having a little snack sometimes (which, I promise, will not replace their lunch). They are also given the opportunity to express their talents to honour our God and demonstrate his love in different ways, performing in front of adults and other children during special services and celebrations
Tweens (11-13 years)
On Sunday mornings during term time, pre-teens have the opportunity to talk, share their thoughts and reflect on the Bible. It is a chance for them to discover or deepen their knowledge and experience of faith in Jesus Christ, who ‘is the way, the truth and the life’ (John 14:6). There are also other activities, outings and shared meals organised to give them the opportunity to get to know each other better and create bonds of friendship.
Teens
The teenage group meets every fortnight on Sunday mornings during the worship service. This is a time mainly devoted to reading and investigating a biblical text. The Bible contains some stories that may seem difficult for us to believe, so it makes. What about the greatest folly for Christians ? To believe that God personally loved you and me so much, that he came to give his life on the cross so that we could be freed from sin and live fully reconciled with God the Father. The Teen Group is a place where everyone can express their convictions and doubts. It's a privileged moment where debate is encouraged so that everyone can progress towards a personal faith.
The young adults at "La Chapelle"

This group meets once a month on a Saturday evening. It’s a time for socialising and chatting over a meal. They describe the group as dynamic, welcoming and a time for fellowship, to reconnect .
These times of welcome and mutual support are open to young adults from the church and their friends.
This meeting usually takes place in 3 stages:
- Apéro Biblique: a time to meditate (with the same focus as the Teen Group) on a biblical passage or theme.
- Meal (much too copious!)
- Board games.
Thanks to these meetings, the young adults build strong relationships together, and develop and strengthen their faith. As a result, they are better equipped to meet the challenges they face.
Every two years, our 15-22-year olds are encouraged to take part in the Connexion weekend organised by the National Baptist Federation’s children and youth committee.
